Estate Manager - Prime Residential Development
Testudo is working in partnership with one of London's luxury residential developers to recruit a Senior Manager to oversee the estate.
About the role
Near some of London's most famous landmarks will be a new prime luxury residential development. With only a quarter of the units currently available, there will be much progress to be made at this flagship location. You will wear many hats, as this is a crucial role that offers true longevity if you can get to grips with the wider opportunity.
You will be managing the residents' committee, the developer stakeholders as well as making sure that the estate is compliant with H&S regulations and in-line with RICS, ARMA's, and IRPM's expectations alike. On-site we have a 24/7 team that will develop into a much larger team inline with the development of the buildings, and you will need to be comfortable handling tenders, services, and negotiating in general on behalf of the estate to get projects completed at a reasonable time and price. Also, you will manage and execute a budget - frugality and charm may well be needed.
What We Are Looking For?
Most importantly, you will need to be human. Dealing with people both within your team, residents, and external contractors mean you will need to be comfortable dealing with people with different agendas and needs. Leadership will be an essential quality, as well as a sound understanding of the regulations involved with managing an occupied estate and managing an unoccupied estate. This includes health & safety including fire & risk assessments, projects works, and facilities management. You won't be alone but you will be the most senior person on-site, so we need someone as sharp as a new set of chef knives.
Most likely 9-5, but you should consider that people who believe in working hours are usually disappointed. We can not promise that your work will be contained in a 9-5 schedule.
Up to £55,000 plus employment package. Money is important but we encourage applicants to focus on the wider opportunity, money usually follows recognition and we can promise the senior management team will be keen to reward those that take initiative and ownership of the role.
