Area Cleaning Manager
Testudo are working with a London based facilities services provider to recruit an Area Cleaning Manager to manage a multisite contract across West London.
This is a great opportunity to join a growing company on a contract with over 5 years left and within a management structure that will allow you to progress to a bigger role upon delivering strong KPI's (key performance indicators) and having the opportunity to learn from experienced directors and regional managers.
The Job Role:
Your main responsibilities will be to guide and develop a team of cleaners & caretakers across a multisite estate, ensuring that the services are delivered to the clients standards, whilst working with the client and other contract service providers to improve KPI's and overall performance. Reporting directly to the contract manager and liaising directly with the client, it is essential that you understand how to work with team members on a one-to-one basis as you will be responsible for the standard of work and will conduct regular site visits with the client & 3rd parties.
The team is made up of 1st generation tupe, making it will be essential for you to be able to build relationships with people, motivating the teams to work together and driving forward the service standards. You will be responsible for their health & safety including maintenance records, suitable PPE is available and risk assessments are conducted, with any issues being escalated to senior management in line with company procedure.
You will be responsible for managing HR procedures such as return to work, managing annual leave records and interviews. You will be given support from the central HR advisors and contracts manager, any experience of this will be advantageous.
The Suitable Candidate:
You will have experience in supervisory or management of cleaning services, ideally as a service provider or contractor with examples of improving previous SLA's or KPI's. A team focussed manager with experience in developing people or having the potential to coach and manage a team of 20 as well as knowledge of HR procedures. Excellent customer service skills, being able to communicate both written & verbally and must have a valid UK driving license.

The Area Cleaning Manager is a 37 Hours per week position, with a salary up to £29,000 depending on experience with vehicles provided onsite and bonus based on contract performance.
