Testudo are working in partnership with a specialist supplier of Facilities Management and Grounds Maintenance services to recruit a Commercial Manager based in London with the opportunity to work from home.
The role of a Commercial Manager is to minimise the risk the company is exposed upon winning and servicing a contract as well to assist in maximising the profit potential of an assigned contract/project. As you will be providing a comprehensive commercial service to the maintenance team controlling either an assigned project and/or a portfolio of projects, this will require close co-operation with the managers assigned to the contract. You will play an important role of supporting the commercial director in his duties of reducing risk and maximising profits. Whilst you are working with the full project lifecycle to ensure that you control costs, ensure that payments and applications are made in a timely manner, and that contract performance reports are completed and the senior management team are provided with sufficient information to make timely decisions.
Working as manager of a team commercial assistants, you will be responsible to lead across multiple tasks and potentially manager each project independently. You will be educated to degree level or equivalent academic qualification, a form of Quantity Surveying experience is required and a membership to a professional bodies such as RICS will be advantageous. Previous experience in a similar role, with appropriate technical knowledge and commercial understanding will be tested in your interview. Excellent PC literacy, as well strong verbal and written communication skills.
